LIVE & OPEN / LEGAL

Terms of Service

Last updated: September 8, 2026

1. Agreement and support

These Terms govern use of Open & Live at openandlive.com. By using the site, you agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. Advertising purchases also require affirmative acceptance of the Advertising and Billing Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. For support, camera concerns, legal notices, or billing questions, contact topdog@puremoney.lol. Open & Live is an independently operated LaunchDock-hosted service; camera providers and advertisers do not endorse it merely by appearing here.

2. What the service does

Open & Live displays a changing selection of intentionally public live camera streams. The target viewing interval is seven seconds before switching to another camera. Back and forward controls select a camera’s current live view, not historical footage. Loading, network conditions, device performance, browser autoplay restrictions, background-tab behavior and provider interruptions may affect timing. The service does not provide a pause button or a replay archive. Browser and operating-system controls remain outside our control.

3. Public sources and availability

Launch streams are selected from the official public Caltrans camera service. We do not scan for exposed devices, bypass passwords, or intentionally access private cameras. Cameras may be removed, replaced, unavailable, delayed, or inaccurate. We do not guarantee a particular camera, scene, number of cameras, geographic variety or uninterrupted access. We do not publish camera maps, IP addresses or individual camera location listings. A provider may include identifying text within its own footage, and visible scenery may reveal a place. Source-provider terms and rights continue to apply.

Public feeds, not unauthorized access

Open & Live was created to offer an always-on window into everyday scenes that operators intentionally make available to the public. We have not hacked the cameras in our catalog, defeated passwords, circumvented access controls, or obtained footage through unauthorized entry. Anyone may view the underlying official public sources under their applicable terms; our service presents a rotating selection for convenience and discovery. Eligible categories may include public weather cameras, traffic cameras and cameras explicitly published by their owners for this use. Doorbell or residential cameras are eligible only with the owner’s authorization for public rebroadcast. Merely finding a non-secured IP address does not establish that a feed is intended for public viewing or that we have permission to display it. We do not include a feed on that basis alone. We aim to offer continuous viewing 24 hours a day, seven days a week, subject to provider and service availability. We do not claim that every camera is online all the time or that every camera category is currently represented.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to stalk, harass, identify or target people; expose private information; facilitate crime; interfere with infrastructure; evade access controls; scrape at abusive volumes; falsely inflate advertising selections; upload malicious content; misrepresent affiliation; or violate another person’s rights. Do not use the feeds to make emergency, navigation, traffic-safety, security or other decisions requiring timely and reliable information. Contact appropriate emergency services directly if necessary.

5. Sharing and intellectual property

The #liveandopen hashtag identifies discussion about the service and is overlaid on the player. Encouraging a hashtag does not grant ownership of provider footage or permission to infringe privacy, copyright, publicity or other rights. Before recording, copying or reposting footage, determine whether you have the necessary rights. Site code, branding and original materials are protected as applicable. Provider materials remain subject to their respective ownership and usage terms. Advertisers retain ownership of their creative and grant the limited delivery license described in the advertising terms.

6. Ads and external websites

Advertisements are paid placements. We do not guarantee, verify or endorse every advertiser’s offer, destination or claims. Clicking an ad takes you to a third-party website subject to its own terms and privacy practices. Advertisers are responsible for their products, services and claims. We may reject or remove unsuitable, deceptive, unlawful or technically harmful advertising. A payment does not purchase editorial influence or control of cameras.

7. Availability, changes and suspension

The validation-stage service may change its layout, camera selection, features or domain. We may temporarily suspend access for maintenance, security, provider outages or abuse, or discontinue the service. Active advertising purchases will be addressed under the advertising terms if we materially fail to deliver the paid service. These Terms do not allow us to disregard rights that cannot legally be waived.

8. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available without warranties of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability or noninfringement. Live video can be delayed, interrupted, dark or obscured. We do not guarantee that content will be interesting, appropriate for every viewer, or free of distressing real-world events. We do not provide professional advice or safety monitoring.

9. Responsibility and liability

You are responsible for your own use, submissions and linked destinations. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, lost profits, or third-party conduct arising from use of the service. These limitations do not exclude liability that applicable law prohibits excluding, including rights and remedies that cannot be waived. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer protections or an advertiser’s ability to raise a good-faith billing dispute.

10. Complaints and disputes

Please first contact support with a description, relevant dates, order reference if applicable and the resolution you seek. We will attempt to resolve concerns reasonably. These Terms do not impose mandatory arbitration, a class-action waiver, or a selected foreign forum. Any dispute remains subject to applicable law and a court with appropriate jurisdiction. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent permitted by law.

11. Changes to these Terms

The revision date appears above. Updated Terms apply prospectively. We will not use a terms update to retroactively increase an already-paid order’s price. Material changes to recurring billing require notice or consent where required by law. Continued use after an update is subject to the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
